Team
Naples Police Department (NPD) SWAT team consists of a commander, assistant commander, team leaders, Operators, Snipers, Tactical Medics, a Drone Unit, and Hostage Negotiators. The team works in conjunction with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office to resolve situations in the City of Naples and Collier County.

Responsibilities
The team is responsible for hostage rescue, barricaded subjects, high-risk search warrants, high-risk apprehension, and dignitary protection situations. The team has worked with other agencies like the U.S. Secret Service, Scotland Yard, Department of State, and Homeland Security. They maintain a high level of training and availability, utilizing specialized equipment and vehicles to accomplish their mission.

Training
The team trains twice a month with the CCSO SWAT and once a quarter internally. Snipers train once a month in addition to normal monthly training. The team also attends a yearly week-long training with CCSO. The team generally holds try-outs annually for vacancies on the team.
