The City of Naples Building Department has a goal of providing the highest standard of service to our residents and customers by enforcing the City's vision plan and the Florida Building Code through the timely review and inspection of construction permits.

Florida Building Code 8th Edition (2023) effective December 31, 2023.

All building permit applications submitted on or after December 31, 2023 must comply with the 8th Edition FBC.

Application Form Update(11/28/2023)

Effective December 31, 2023 the  City of Naples Building Department will transition to new permit application forms. All new building permits applied for on or after December 31, 2023 will require the new application form listed under 8th Edition on the Permit Forms & Fees webpage.  

Application Forms are available on the Building Department web page under the Building Permit Forms & Fees tab. Submittal Checklists is also provided for each application type. Please select the appropriate application form based on the scope of work.  

 

Building Permitting Post Hurricane Update 

As the City of Naples area begins the process of cleaning up and rebuilding after the recent flooding and high wind event, the City of Naples Building Department wants to help speed up the recover process. 

  1. Online permit submission is open for review, inspections and  permit processing 

  2. Permits are NOT REQUIRED for: Tarping, Painting, Tiling, Carpeting, Minor Removal of Drywall and Baseboards no more than 4’ above the floor will not require a permit. Roof covering repairs that do not exceed 500 square feet is allowed without a permit. Click Here for complete info.

 

Building Inspections Update

Effective Monday, September 18, 2023, in order to schedule a same day inspection with the City of Naples you must schedule prior to 6:00 a.m.
