Shift Supervisor Mandi Amell and Telecommunicator David Rubio received a Department Letter of Commendation for demonstrating proactive leadership, professionalism, and teamwork to ensure uninterrupted public safety operations during a technology failure at the Emergency Communications Center (ECC).
The "Phoenix Award" is an award presented by Collier County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to recognize first responders and civilians whose quick actions led to a successful resuscitation and recovery for a patient experiencing cardiac arrest.
Ms. Amell joined the NPD Communications team in February 2015. She earned an Exceptional Duty Bar in 2017.
Robyne Walker has served as a PST with NPD since March 1999. She is the most senior PST on staff, is a certified PST trainer, and has received multiple awards during her career as an NPD PST. Most recently, she was named as NPD Civilian Employee of the Year, 2021.
COMMUNICATIONS SHIFT SUPERVISOR ISABEL ARIAS
Milady “Isabel” Arias joined the NPD Communications team in May 1994. Promoted to Communications Shift Supervisor in March 1999, she is the division’s lead trainer, and the NPD’s Florida Department of Law Enforcement Terminal Agency Coordinator. She has received multiple awards during her career as an NPD PST, including NPD Outstanding Service Bar, Naples Fire Department’s Fire Dispatcher of the Year (pictured), and Florida Fire Chief’s Association Dispatcher of the Year.

Anthony Veyn joined the NPD Communications team in August 1995. Promoted to Communications Shift Supervisor in March 1999, he has received multiple awards during his career as an NPD PST, including NPD Outstanding Service Bar and Naples Fire Department’s Fire Dispatcher of the Year (pictured).
