Hurricane Irma After Action Report

The Naples City Council requested their City Manager to provide a summary of the preparation, response and recovery related to Hurricane Irma that passed through the city in September 2017.

An After-Action Report was presented to the Naples City Council. The report was prepared following a process used to capture the lessons learned from successes and failures. By its very nature, the report is intended to be self-critical in order to improve preparation and response to similar events that may occur in the future.

We take this opportunity to thank so many citizens who aided and supported to the city's organization, charitable agencies, the private sector, and friends and neighbors. We also thank the many people who shared our email and social media communications with others throughout the potentially catastrophic event.
