The East Naples Bay Taxing District was established by referendum in 1987 for the purpose of improving the water quality and navigability of the waterways and to provide maintenance dredging in the channels and waterways within the district.
The East Naples Bay Special Taxing District encompasses the waterfront subdivisions of Golden Shores, Oyster Bay and Royal Harbor; specifically all of the canals in the subdivisions, from both sides of Curlew Avenue south to Royal Harbor. The District does not include properties facing Naples Bay.
