Volunteer Ambassador Program

About the Volunteer Ambassador Program
The City of Naples Ambassador Program was created to provide citizens like yourself an opportunity to volunteer in several different departments throughout the City. The volunteer program is very popular and we are always looking to for energetic individuals to assist our City.

We place a priority on the active and vital involvement of volunteer citizens who possess the greatest potential for resident knowledge, interests and advocacy for parks and recreation that benefit all residents of the City.

Areas to Assist
At the present we have Ambassadors serving the Naples Preserve, Hedges Family Eco Center, and many parks. They work as greeters, guides, and tutors. Other areas of interest that might need assistance are:

  • Norris Center
  • Fleischmann Park
  • River Park
  • Lowdermilk Park
  • Naples Dog Park
  • Arthur Allen Tennis Center
  • Naples Preserve
  • Waterfront Operations
  • City Hall
  • Community Services

Fun Facts
In 2011, there were over 40 Ambassadors who volunteered over 5,800 hours of their time, which is worthwhile, fun, and educational. Our Ambassadors bring a broad range of skills to the program, as well as their can-do, energetic personalities. And, at the end of the year, to thank all of our Ambassadors for a job well done, an annual luncheon is held to celebrate all the work that has been given over the year.
