Alberto (Claudio Bisio) is a postal worker in a Milan suburb near where he lives with his wife and family. His wife has been badgering him for years to obtain a transfer to a branch in central Milan. His friend in the central office says he can’t help him because they are giving jobs in the central area to disabled persons at this time. Alberto is disappointed but decides to put in an application while claiming to be a disabled person. He is instead transferred to a village near Naples.
Presented by the Italian Cultural Society. At admittance, attendees are asked to make a voluntary contribution of $5.
