Councilmember Scott Schultz was elected to the Naples City Council in 2026. Prior to entering public office, he had a long career in the financial services industry as a money manager, overseeing billions of dollars in assets and developing extensive experience in financial stewardship, strategic planning, and responsible decision-making.
He has also been active in civic service within the Naples community. Schultz served on the Naples Planning Advisory Board, where he contributed to discussions on land use, development, and planning matters affecting the city. In addition, he was appointed by the Collier County Board of County Commissioners to help lead resiliency efforts related to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers coastal project. He was subsequently elected Chairman of that effort, serving as a liaison between the City of Naples, the Board of County Commissioners, the Army Corps of Engineers, and the public and media until the project funding was exhausted.
A former tennis enthusiast, Councilmember Schultz enjoys living in Naples Cay with his wife, Kirsi. He brings a focus on fiscal responsibility, long-term planning, and preserving the character and beauty of Naples while addressing the city’s evolving needs.
