CPR Training

Hands On CPR

Thank you for your interest in a CPR course with the City of Naples Fire-Rescue Department. We currently offer the American Heart Association Heartsaver® CPR-AED & First Aid Course  to interested residents, business and organizations within the City of Naples. We do not normally have a minimum number of students, however we have a maximum of 12 students per class. Also, we ask that only those willing and capable of the physical demands of the class attend. The classes are designed to give the student confidence to handle emergency situations and provide the basic care needed to help a victim prior to the arrival of the Fire-Rescue units (these classes are not intended for Healthcare Professionals). Students will learn the skills of CPR on adults, use of an Automated External Defibrator (AED) and basic first-aid skills. Participants will receive an e-card certifying completion of the Heartsaver® CPR-AED & First Aid course.

If you or your group would like to attend a CPR class for AHA certification provided by the City of Naples Fire-Rescue Department, please call our office to inquire 239-213-4900.

Why Learn CPR?

Each year, more than 350,000 EMS-assessed out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur in the United States. When a person has a cardiac arrest, survival depends on immediately receiving CPR from someone nearby. CPR, especially if performed immediately, can double or triple a cardiac arrest victim’s chance of survival. According to the American Heart Association (AHA) About 70 percent of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests happen in homes. If you are called on to provide CPR in an emergency, you will most likely be trying to save the life of someone you love: a child, a spouse, a parent or a friend.

The City of Naples Fire-Rescue Department ONLY serves City of Naples residents or businesses residing within zip codes 34102 – 34103 and some residing within zip codes 34104 – 34105 (within City limits).
