City of Naples Visioning Process

For the next several months the City will be undergoing a visioning process. The results of this process will be incorporated into the City's required Comprehensive Plan and will guide the City's capital improvement budget in the coming years. To insure implementation, each department within the City is required to address the goals and objectives established in the annual budget. Citizen participation in this visioning process is critical as this is the way the ideas, wishes and needs of the public are identified and the solutions become a reality for the community.

Survey Results

The City's visioning consultant has completed the phone survey and compiled the results. This was a random phone survey to City residents with confirmation of voter registration for a percentage of the respondents, per the request of City Council. The results will be further analyzed and used to draft a final vision for inclusion in the Citys comprehensive plan. Any questions regarding these results can be sent to rsinger@naplesgov.com. Thanks to all who participated.

Reports

Facilitator

The consulting firm of Arrington Marlowe has been chosen to facilitate this process. This is the same firm that helped create the City's vision in 1997. Dr. Herbert Marlowe and Larry Arrington will be present at all events and will present the vision to City Council at the end of the process. The City Manager's Office and Community Development Department are assisting the consultants in setting up the meetings and gathering information. If you have any questions about the process or would like to give your input in writing, please email Robin Singer, Community Development Director, at rsinger@naplesgov.com.
