River Park Aquatic Center
River Park Aquatic Center features year-round FREE general admission. 
The heated (or chilled when the weather is hot!) pool offers six lap lanes
connected to a teaching pool, where the 47’ slide also empties into, which
then leads to a beach entry pool with interactive water feature.  The bath
house offers two clean family restrooms, men’s and women’s restrooms,
all with showers as well. A large shaded pavilion, with ceiling fans and
vending machines allows you to enjoy snacks or the lunches you brought
in.  Group/party reservations are required for parties of 10 or more

Learn to SWIM Classes for Children
The River Park Aquatic Center offers an exciting collection of swim courses designed to promote healthy lifestyle and develop lifetime skills: Enroll your child in swim lessons-Monday & Wednesday weekday evenings or Saturday mornings-and have them be a part of the 2 million people that learn to swim each year! All of our instructors are certified Water Safety Instructors and they love what they do! For more information and a class schedule please contact us at 239-213-3040.
 
Infants 6 mo. to 2½ years with a parent: water adjustment and exposure, holding positions to elicit certain responses, safety skills and water entry/exit, introduction to submerging, scoops and kicks.  

Preschool students ages 2½ – 5 years
: safety skills and water entry/exit, breath control/submerging, buoyancy on front/back, changing direction and introduction to arm/leg action on front and back-all with support.  

Levels 1-3: increased independent movement through water, greater skill regarding arm/leg action on front/back, changing direction, new strokes, body roll and alignment, rhythmic breathing and other skills.

SWIM Classes for Adults
Calling all adults from non-swimmers to triathletes, here is your chance to learn or develop your skills further in this great sport. This is a no pressure environment where the instructors allow you to learn at your own pace. All instructors are certified Water Safety Instructors and enjoy teaching. They have fun ways to ease you into the water and help overcome yor fear. Join us at the River Park Aquatic Center for a fun time in the sun while learning to swim.

PRIVATE LESSONS / STROKE CLINICS: 
Would you prefer a one-on-one lesson for yourself or your child, or a semi-private class for two participants?  Anyone with a fear of the water, a specific hurdle to get over regarding a particular skill or desiring that full attention can benefit from private lessons.  

Moreover, if you’re familiar with a variety of strokes you may like a stroke clinic to improve your efficiency, endurance or prepare for an open water swim.

Private Swim Instruction:
Fee:
     $30 for .30 minute for 1 student
     $40 for .30 minute for 2 students together
     $50 for .30 an minute back to back for 2 students or one student/60 minutes 

Swim Stroke Clinics - Youth:
Prepare for our summer youth recreational swim team or just clean up your strokes for greater accuracy and efficiency.  Gain speed and endurance with proper entries, flip-turns, streamlining and more through twice weekly, forty minute long clinics, in three week sessions, with our certified instructors and coaches, in conjunction with the Paradise Coast Swim Conference.

Tuesdays and Thursdays 

Session: 5/10 – 5/26
    Ages 8/under 5:20 - 6:00 pm
    Ages 9-18 years 6:00 - 6:40 pm 

Fee:
$85 per session, per participant.

Lifeguard Training:
Interested in becoming a lifeguard?  Train with our team of American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructors to earn a nationally recognized lifeguard certification, including CPR for the professional rescuer, AED and first aid.  

Must be at least 15 years old and pass a pre-course swim test: 300 yard continuous swim, 20 yard sprint with deep water brick retrieval and two minute tread water with legs only.  Call ahead to schedule a prescreening session: check your skills, register to attend, and learn how to prepare for the course.

Fee:  $175 per student

Swim & Snorkel Camp:  
Develop a new skill that will be a source of fun for a lifetime!  With fun, games & aquatic crafts, we’ll explore using masks, fins and snorkels for proper breathing, stroke efficiency, coral reef safety and etiquette in this series of five classes.    

No minimum age but all participants must be able to swim one length (25 yards) of the pool unassisted.  Some children’s snorkel gear is available for use, please inquire upon registration.  Space is limited to 15, sign up now!  

SUMMER BREAK:  Monday - Friday     6/13/16 - 6/17/16     9:00 am - 12:00 noon
SUMMER BREAK:  Monday - Friday     8/8/16 - 8/12/16      9:00 am - 12:00 noon


Fee: $100 for first family member and $75 for each additional member
