NOTE: If the closing date changes, it is important to advise FRSData LLC. We will be reading the meter on that date in preparation to transfer the account when the paperwork and payment are received.
On the closing date, have the estoppel amount collected (from the seller) and have the application for service (by the buyer).
On the day of closing or promptly thereafter, send the estoppel payment, with the application for service and the closing statement together to the City of Naples, 735 Eighth Street South, Naples, Florida 34102.
Beginning January 1, 2017, all requests will be submitted to FRSData LLC, the City will no longer be responding to estoppel requests. FRSData LLC will still be providing timely, enhanced professional quality reports, improving your quality of service from the City. Plan ahead and establish an account with FRSData LLC today! In the City of Naples, unpaid utility bills are considered a lien on the property. Other city-related liens include Special Assessments (sanitary sewer, canal dredging, etc.), Code Enforcement fines, and false alarm fines. To ensure a clear title upon transfer of ownership of a property, a lien must be paid prior to the transfer. FRS Data will only report on liens issued by the City of Naples. A full search should still be made by the title company or real estate attorney.
Concurrent with this change, there will be a fee of $12.50 for each request. For all requests received after December 31, 2016 a fee will be required for each Lien Inquiry Request.Check this site after December 16 for enhanced instructions on how to use this new system.
