City of Naples Police Bureau

Police Bureau

The Police Operations Bureau is dedicated to providing professional services in the areas of Police Patrol, Investigations and Crime Prevention in its continuing efforts to protect and serve the Citizens of Naples.

Police Operations begin with the Patrol Division.  This group of men and women are the most visible component of any police department. They are the ones who respond to every call for service received by the Communications Division. The Patrol Division is often referred to as “the backbone of any police organization”.

Along with 24/7 patrol coverage, Police Operations include sworn officers assigned to special assignments including criminal investigations, traffic safety/enforcement, marine safety/enforcement, K-9 patrol, community policing, crime prevention and bicycle patrols.

Additional civilian employees within the bureau work in areas such as beach security, code enforcement and school crossing guards.

You can find the Naples Police and Fire Department building in the Riverside Circle complex of city facilities. The rear of the building faces Goodlette Road, just south of 5th. Ave. N. The address is 355 Riverside Circle, Naples, FL 34102. For information, please call 239-213-4890.

Hurricane Preparedness - Helpful Information for Hurricane Season
Census 2010 - Identifying Census Workers
On February 22, 2010, the Census Bureau will begin household contacts to deliver census questionnaires.  Census Bureau temporary staff will visit neighborhoods to collect information and verify addresses through August of 2010.

Each temporary Census Bureau employee will carry an official identification card with their signature and an expiration date.  The temporary cards do not include photographs of the employee. The police department has copies of the sample identification cards, and officers have been made aware of the process.

If you are approached by someone identifying themselves as a Census worker make sure they provide you with proper identification. If you are still unsure of their identity, please contact the Naples Police Department and we will respond to assist in verifying whether the Census worker is valid or not.

We need to have a full and accurate count of our citizens to ensure the full support of the Federal government that we have coming our way, but we also need our citizens to stay safe and protected. With your cooperation, we can achieve both goals.
