The City of Naples is currently updating the existing neighborhood action plans for the various neighborhood planning areas within the City. The neighborhood action plans, originally created in 1996, are part of the City’s adopted Comprehensive Plan. There are currently 17 neighborhood associations in the City which have been combined into 13 neighborhood planning areas recognized in the Comprehensive Plan. Please see the map of associations to help you determine which neighborhood you are located in.
You can participate in the neighborhood planning process by completing and submitting the Neighborhood Planning Questionnaire below. We are encouraging the participation of all residents of the City in the update of these plans, regardless of the amount of time they reside in the City each year or whether or not they belong to an association. Completed questionnaires will be accepted through April 30, 2009. The responses to the questionnaires will be reviewed by the Planning Department and presented to the neighborhood association boards for review and further input. This process is expected to be completed and the results presented to City Council in the fall of 2009. It is the desire of City Council that the new action plans should be reviewed and updated approximately every two years.
City staff has reviewed the existing neighborhood action plans and revised each plan to include an explanation of how the City has addressed each action step in the plans. Please click on the links to the left to review the existing plans. Updates will be posted as they become available. We are also providing links to available neighborhood association web sites.
