Ambassadors Program

In January 2003, the City had a need for a volunteer group to support the Community Services Department (CSD). An organizational meeting was held mid January which culminated in CSD Ambassadors. By the end of the first quarter, the Ambassadors had recruited almost 30 volunteers and conducted the first orientation and training sessions. Our work began at the Naples Preserve.

At the present we have Ambassadors serving the Naples Preserve, The Norris Center, River Park Community Center and the City Manager's office. They work as greeters, guides, ushers, tutors, event assistants, park rangers and reception.  There are approximately 35 Ambassador volunteers who contributed over 3,400 hours in 2008. The work of the Ambassadors is worthwhile, fun and educational. Bring your interests and your experiences to the City of Naples Ambassador program. Ambassadors bring a broad range of skills to the program. However, orientation and training is provided as needed.  An annual luncheon brings all the ambassadors together near the holidays for a celebration and appreciation of all the work that they have given over the year.
