City of Naples, Community Development Department

The Community Development Department administers codes, regulates development on private property and maintains the database for the City's maps. Building and Zoning

Paul Bollenback, Building Official

Building and Zoning administers the Florida Building Code through the permitting and inspection of construction projects. The division also inspects active construction sites for compliance with the City's standards. The permit counter is located in the lobby of the Community Development building and is open 8-5 weekdays. The primary contact number is (239) 213-5020. After hours violations may be reported to (239) 564-9109.

Planning

Planning Manager

Planning maintains, implements and amends the City's Comprehensive Plan and zoning ordinances and processes various related petitions. Planning prepares petition packages for the Planning Advisory Board, Design Review Board and Staff Action Committee. They may be contacted by calling (239) 213-1050.

Geographic Information Systems (Mapping)

Gretchen Baldus, GIS Manager

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is responsible for maintaining the City's spatial database and preparing and printing maps for the City. Some maps are available online, such as zoning and flood maps. Hard copies can be purchased at the permit counter at 295 Riverside Circle.
